Gwen Monteiro graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne before going on to complete her Practical Legal Training, and subsequently attain her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, at the College of Law in 2017. Gwen was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in November 2018.
Gwen’s experience and interests primarily relate to Criminal and Family Law. Notably, prior to starting with Taylor Rose, Gwen worked as a Prosecutor for Victoria Police and as such holds valuable insight to the criminal justice system, beyond general criminal defence.
In her spare time, Gwen loves to go kick boxing.
