Sean-Cornelius Botha commenced his legal career at the University of Waikato in New Zealand where he completed his Bachelor of Laws at Te Piringa Faculty of Law, one of New Zealand’s distinguished law schools in biculturalism and contextual legal studies. He then went on to complete his Graduate Diploma of Legal Studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in Auckland. He is currently completing his Legal Practice Management Course with the College of Law in Victoria.
Sean-Cornelius was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in October 2015, and was further admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in February 2023.
Sean-Cornelius’ expertise is primarily in Commercial, Property, Banking and Finance Law, though he also maintains a keen interest in emerging technologies, such as AI, with a focus on expanding his practice in NewLaw.
Outside of his professional endeavours, Sean-Cornelius is an enthusiast of the arts, culture and sports and in his spare time enjoys maintaining his fitness through weightlifting and boxing. Prior to his legal career, he completed a Diploma in Fine Art and Creativity from the Learning Connexion in Wellington New Zealand and continues to develop his creativity through interests in digital design and content creation. As a keen entrepreneur, he has in recent months launched several small businesses in imported goods and sales and short-term accommodation, which he intends to scale over the next 24 months alongside his growing practice.
