Yasmin Faiyad completed her Bachelor of Law and Legal Practice at Flinders University, graduating in 2017. Yasmin was subsequently admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of South Australia in the same year.
After graduating Yasmin worked as a Judges Associate to His Honour Judge Slattery and Judge Barrett in the District Court of South Australia where she gained invaluable insight and experience working closely with Judges. She then went on to work at the legal services commission as a duty solicitor, where she assisted people with legal aid applications and facilitated their better access to justice and the justice system.
Prior to joining the Taylor Rose team, Yasmin worked at a suburban criminal law practice which has been operating for over 40 years. Yasmin gained significant experience from working for senior criminal lawyers which gave her a unique insight into criminal advocacy and practice.
Yasmin has experience appearing in all jurisdictions and deals with all her matters from start to finalisation. Her extensive experience and insight from industry seniors enables her to work in a vast range of areas including:
Yasmin additionally accepts legal aid for criminal law matters and speaks fluent Arabic should clients require Arabic interpretation.
